The 29th Annual Senior Fraud Awareness Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the Union County Agricultural Center in Monroe, NC, offering seniors valuable fraud prevention education and community connection.

Event Details

• Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2026
• Time: Doors open at 10:00 AM; luncheon begins at 11:00 AM and runs until about 1:00 PM 
• Location: Agricultural Conference Center – Hall A, 3230 Presson Road, Monroe, NC 28112
• Organizers: Union County Sheriff’s Office and UCSO Foundation, Inc. 

This popular annual event is designed to help seniors recognize the latest fraud and scam trends, receive safety information, and connect with community resources. It features presentations, discussions, and fellowship opportunities to build awareness and resilience against scams

TAOGA — The Academy of Goal Achievers

Free Breast Cancer Screening for Uninsured Women Ages 40 and Older September 17, 2026 at the Union County Human Services Buidling, 2330 Concord Avenue in Monroe.

Project PINK is a free mammogram screening program for women who do not have health insurance coverage for yearly mammograms. If you qualify, the program covers a 3D screening mammogram on Charlotte Radiology’s mobile unit, one diagnostic mammogram within a year of your screening if needed, a biopsy if needed, and an ultrasound.

To take part, you must:

• Be a woman age 40 or older
• Live in Union County
• Not have health insurance that covers yearly mammograms
• Not be pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have no new breast lumps or concerns

Registration is required. Space is limited.
