Free for Union County residents, this event provides a safe way to get rid of certain household hazardous materials that aren’t accepted at County waste sites or in curbside collection containers.

The Waxhaw Learning Center, located at 509 S. Providence Street, is a community hub managed by the town. Opened to fill resource gaps left by the relocation of the former downtown library, it offers diverse programs for all ages, including senior activities, teen study hours, computer labs, and a Union County library drop-off/pick-up system. Other services include free public computer lab, Union County library book drop/pick-up, and meeting spaces. #UnionCountyNC

Indian Trail Parks & Recreation is hosting a Pop-Up Petting Zoo at Crooked Creek Park on August 19 from 11 AM–1 PM at the Medium Game Shelter.
