Union County Locations at Old Armory 500 N Johnson St, Monroe, NC 28112 and Willow Oaks 3223 Walkup Ave, Monroe, NC 28110. YWCA is on a mission to give every child an equal chance at success for the future. Reading comprehension by the third grade is essential in determining future successes and children in low-income areas have fewer resources to break from this negative cycle. YWCA provides after-school literacy programs for students and their parents in order to make higher achievement possible. Contact YWCA’s Department of Youth Programs at 980-585-0505 to see if your child is eligible.
